Upgrading

Notes for moving between Anvil versions. Read the changelog of every version you skip, and the upgrade notes below for each minor version.

How to upgrade

1. Read the upgrade notes of the target version and of every version in between.

2. Update on a development machine or staging first:

   composer update rakoitde/anvil --with-dependencies
   php spark migrate --all
   php spark anvil:publish
   php spark anvil:workflow:check
   vendor/bin/phpunit

3. Adapt the application to the items under BREAKING; increase the version of changed workflow definitions.

4. Deploy as described in Releases.

Patch versions (0.x.y) never need changes of the application: update, migrate, publish.
